Killing Time (and Poetry)
Please forgive my post
That’s all in rhyme
Just 16 days
That’s all we’ve got for time
The Midwest Team
Joins the throng
For the worldwide
Olympic Knitalong!
Our projects were chosen
With the utmost care
But I’m sure in two weeks
We’ll all be pulling our hair.
Some chose lace
Some chose a sweater
Some will knit socks
What could be better?
Thousands of knitters
All over the world
United by one fact
We’ve all knit and we’ve purled.
We’ll all work together
Though we may never meet
Cheer eachother on
Until the project’s complete.
There’s hundreds of teams
But which one is best?
Well duh, isn't it obvious?
It’s our team – Midwest!
