Every team needs a cheerleader, right?
And here I am. I'm a mama, and a tulip, but I'm no knitter.
However, I like to knit vicariously through others and I've graciously accepted an invitation from Chris to cheer Team Midwest on. Even though I'm Canadian, and when y'all start talking in your knit lingo I scratch my head and scrunch up my face and decide it's better to just smile and nod.
GO TEAM!!

Yay Mama Tulip!
What she didn't mention is that she's smashingly funny. :)
We are going to need you BIG TIME, especially in about 5 days.
M.T. also volunteered to wear a tight sweater and use yarn pom-poms, so she's definitely into the spirit of the thing!
I *love* the idea of having official knitting cheerleaders... now, if we could just get a sponsor. "Koigu - Official Sponsor of the Midwest Olympic Knitting Team". Wouldn't that be great?
We wouldn't limit ourselves to yarn manufacturers, though. The Midwest has a number of fine microbreweries that would definitely be acceptable. "Summit, the official beer of the Midwest Olympic Frogging Team..."
