Knowing Just Enough To Be Dangerous

Ignorance isn't bliss in my case, I suspect... I've turned the heels, and am convinced that I don't have a CLUE what I am doing. I am knitting boats, I think.

I can't even take a decent picture of them. I think they are ashamed of themselves, frankly, and are trying to hide from public ridicule.

HA!! If they are determined to make me suffer, I am not about to suffer alone. Take THIS, rotten wooly monsters from Sock Hell:

You don't think they look a bit... long? But I'm not sure how to fix it if they are, because of the instructions... if I adjust at the lace section *that* gets messed up, if I do less of the stockinette 'heel' stitches, it will be too narrow at the instep part where it bends, will cut off all circulation, and require post-sock amputations. :P

Well, at this point we'll just have to wait and see if they are as ridiculous as I think they are... I can always rip them back and either try to adjust them or just knit them up plain. Or see if they make nice jaywalkers!

Gah...

Well, they do have deck shoes here so why not boat socks to go with them?

You're asking the wrong person if they look long - I have size 11 feet. :)

Yer a piker, you! I've got size 12 (they're actually about 10.5, but the width forces me to buy bigger shoes to accomodate them... I hate my feet with a passion that is greater than... well, my feet!)
